Stefanie is a journalist and photographer based in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Over the past years, she has focused on covering conflict and crises. She has reported on the Rohingya refugees from Bangladesh, the East African drought from Somalia and has also covered the Lake Chad Basin displacement, the Nepal earthquake, the Ebola pandemic and the situation of Syrian refugees in Jordan.
Prior to living in Afghanistan, she was based in South Sudan, where she worked for AFP and won the Prix Varenne for her photography work.
