Stefanie is a journalist and photographer based in Kabul, Afghanistan.
She previously worked in South Sudan with AFP, winning the Prix Varenne for her photography work with the agency.
Stefanie has covered conflict and natural disasters including the Rohingya refugee crisis, the Nepal earthquake, the Ebola crisis, the East African drought, the Lake Chad Basin displacement and the Syrian refugee crisis.
Her clients include AFP, The Guardian, The Economist, The Los Angeles Times, Reuters, Foreign Policy, and The Telegraph, among other.
She holds an MA in International Journalism from City, University of London and besides English, also speaks German, French and a little Farsi.
